Edward and Sarah Morgan 50th Anniversary

A newspaper clipping reporting the 50th wedding anniversity of Edward and Sarah West Morgan

This newspaper clipping, dated May 18, 1913, was found in a picture collection in Calgary, Alberta, Canada. Edward Morgan's half sister Lydia Almeda Morgan Nowlin probably had it in her family stuff.

Some inaccuracies in the above newspaper article need to be corrected. The wagon train that Thomas Morgan's son Edward and brother Joseph traveled in was commanded by Joseph W. Young (Not Joseph W. Smith). And Thomas Morgan was not 104 years old. See this website under Thomas Morgan for a life history of Thomas Morgan and an examination of his origins in Hereforeshire, which prove that he was not as old as the people thought he was in 1913.
